The sea sauna
£40 for twoAn hourEvery day, 7 am to 9 pm
A wood-fired cedar sauna at the edge of the garden with a big window onto the bay. Heat up, plunge in the cold tub or walk down to the sea, and do it again. Robes and towels are waiting.

02
Treatments
From £7560 or 90 minutesThursday to Sunday
In the old wash house, with linen at the window and the sea outside: a slow massage with warm stones, a seaweed wrap, or a facial with oils made on the coast. Lowenna has been doing this for twenty years.

03
Dawn swim with a guide
£25 eachAn hourSaturdays, May to October
Down the steps to the cove as the sun comes up, with Jory, who has swum here every morning for years. He knows the currents, the ledges and where the seals sleep. Hot chocolate after.

04
The boat to the seal caves
£35 eachTwo hoursOn still mornings
Clem takes the old crabber out along the cliffs to the caves where the grey seals pup in autumn, and round Gull Point if the sea allows. Up to six on board; life jackets and blankets provided.
Book with your room, or at the desk
Add the sauna, a treatment or the boat to your booking request, or ask at the desk when you're here. The boat goes only when the sea is right, so we'll tell you the night before.
Questions about the spa
Can I use the sauna if I'm not staying?
Yes, on weekdays outside the summer holidays: call to book an hour.
Is the sea swim safe for beginners?
Jory swims with confident swimmers only. If you're new to the sea, come for a paddle on the guided swim and stay where you can stand.
When can we see seal pups?
From September to November, in the caves past Gull Point. We keep well back: the boat never lands.
